Erica Watson-Currie, PhD consults to companies and organizations on business and interpersonal communication, as well as providing research and analysis of effective messaging and branding.
She currently teaches at the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California, and in the Masters in Public Health program at USC Keck School of Medicine. Recent research and analysis projects include the social-behavioral componant of the Smart Grid Demonstration Project, a $121 Million grant project funded by the US Department of Energy and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Previous published areas of research include messaging by the tobacco industry and effective health outreach messaging.
She holds a Doctorate in Communication Theory, along with Masters degrees in both Communication Management and Communication Theory, from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication. She also has a BA in Psychology from California State University, Northridge.
She has also lectured on communication and business at the Marshall School of Business at USC, California State University Long Beach, and Northridge, and spoken at conferences in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Erica lives in Newport Beach, California with husband Victor, son Nick Charles, and Fox Terrier, Skipper.
